During their professional clinical observation students have an opportunity to be present and to participate in a limited capacity during treatments performed by practising acupuncturists. The second year students attend at all phases of the treatment process and are included in all discussions between the practitioner and the patient.

Students will also have an opportunity to participate in diagnosis, treatment planning and implementation. All aspects of each case are managed by the acupuncturist with direct student participation.

This is the second stage in preparing students for their term as interns and in developing their future style of practice.
