Physical Assessment
This course is designed to familiarize the student with the anatomical structure of the human body. Students will become familiar with normal (healthy) anatomy through observation, palpation, mobilization and other assessment techniques. Through the assessment of normal surface anatomy, the student will learn to detect abnormalities and either choose appropriate treatments or refer the patient to a suitable therapist or physician. The course is taught in a lecture/ lab format with an emphasis on the practical application of the skills being taught.
