Clinic Information and Policies

Since 1987 the CCAOM has operated a full scope Chinese medicine clinic in Victoria. Open to members of the public, wheel chair accessible, and priced to ensure access by people from varying socio-economic backgrounds, student practitioners provide treatment for all types of ailments.

We are the only college in Victoria that requires our student interns to have at least two years of clinical observation and instruction before administering treatments to the public. All treatments are supervised by qualified practitioners from among our faculty, each of whom has a minimum of seven years experience in the profession

Cost:    $5 suggested donation

Since 1972 auricular acupuncture has been applied clinically as a safe, effective and low cost approach to addressing drug and alcohol dependency. Commonly used as an adjunct to established addiction treatment programs, the NADA protocol is applied in over a thousand addiction centres throughout the US and Canada.

Acudetox involves the insertion of five small needles into specific locations in both ears which stimulates the detoxification of chemical substances from the body and controls withdrawal symptoms. This system has broad applications in the treatment of IV drug use, smoking, food addictions and general stress disorders.

What is NADA?
The National Acupuncture Detox Association supports education and training related to the use of a specific auricular acupuncture protocol in addiction treatment to relieve suffering during detoxification and withdrawal. NADA strives to make acupuncture based barrier-free addiction treatment accessible in all communities and to ensure its integration with other treatment modalities.
